Chive and Shrimp Dumplings

Ingredients

  • Chives 200g
  • Shrimp 200g
  • Pork 100g
  • Dumpling wrappers As needed
  • Ginger 1 piece, minced
  • Garlic 2 cloves, minced
  • Cooking wine 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce 1 tablespoon
  • Salt As needed
  • White pepper powder As needed
  • Cooking oil As needed

Steps

  1. Cut the chives into fine segments.
  2. Dice the shrimp into small pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, chives, and shrimp.
  4. Add minced ginger, garlic, cooking wine, soy sauce, salt, and white pepper powder. Mix well.
  5. Place a dumpling wrapper in the palm of your hand. Scoop a spoonful of the filling and place it in the center of the wrapper.
  6. Fold the dumpling wrapper in half and press the edges together with your fingers to seal it.
  7. Starting from one end, pinch and fold the edges of the dumpling to create pleats.
  8. Arrange the prepared dumplings on a clean plate.
  9. Prepare a steamer and bring the water to a boil.
  10. Place the plate of dumplings in the steamer.
  11. Cover the steamer with a lid and steam for about 10-12 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through.
  12. Carefully remove the plate from the steamer.
  13. Serve the hot chive and shrimp dumplings and enjoy.
