Japanese Omurice

Ingredients

  • Cooked rice 2 cups
  • Chicken breast 200g, diced
  • Onion 1, finely chopped
  • Carrot 1, finely chopped
  • Green peas 1/2 cup
  • Ketchup 3 tablespoons
  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cooking oil As needed
  • Eggs 4
  • Milk 2 tablespoons
  • Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Ketchup As needed

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until translucent
  2. Add diced chicken and carrots, and cook until the chicken is cooked through
  3. Add green peas, salt, and black pepper, and continue cooking for a few minutes
  4. Add cooked rice and ketchup, and mix well to combine all ingredients
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with milk, salt, and black pepper
  6. Heat butter in a non-stick pan and pour the beaten eggs
  7. Gently fold the eggs to create a fluffy omelette
  8. Place the rice mixture on a plate and cover it with the omelette
  9. Drizzle tomato sauce on top as desired
