Japanese Omurice
Ingredients
- Cooked rice 2 cups
- Chicken breast 200g, diced
- Onion 1, finely chopped
- Carrot 1, finely chopped
- Green peas 1/2 cup
- Ketchup 3 tablespoons
- Salt 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper 1/4 teaspoon
- Cooking oil As needed
- Eggs 4
- Milk 2 tablespoons
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Ketchup As needed
Steps
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until translucent
- Add diced chicken and carrots, and cook until the chicken is cooked through
- Add green peas, salt, and black pepper, and continue cooking for a few minutes
- Add cooked rice and ketchup, and mix well to combine all ingredients
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with milk, salt, and black pepper
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan and pour the beaten eggs
- Gently fold the eggs to create a fluffy omelette
- Place the rice mixture on a plate and cover it with the omelette
- Drizzle tomato sauce on top as desired
- Serve the delicious Japanese Omurice
