Italian Penne Pasta

Ingredients

  • Penne pasta 300 grams, cooked according to package instructions
  • Olive oil 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic 3 cloves, minced
  • Cherry tomatoes 250 grams, halved
  • Fresh basil leaves a handful, torn
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish

Steps

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add the cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook until they start to soften and release their juices.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss well to coat with the tomato sauce.
  7. Cook for a few more minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with torn fresh basil leaves.
  9. Serve the Italian penne pasta hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
