Mapo Tofu

Ingredients

  • Soft Tofu 300g
  • Pork 100g (minced)
  • Doubanjiang 2 tablespoons
  • Chili Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Minced Ginger 1 teaspoon
  • Minced Garlic 1 teaspoon
  • Cooking Wine 1 tablespoon
  • Chicken Stock Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Scallions to taste
  • Cooking Oil to taste
  • Salt to taste

Steps

  1. Cut the tofu into small cubes. Marinate the minced pork with cooking wine for a while.
  2. Heat some cooking oil in a wok and stir-fry the minced ginger and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated minced pork and stir-fry until it changes color.
  4. Add the chili powder and doubanjiang, continue to stir-fry to evenly coat the pork with the seasonings.
  5. Add an appropriate amount of water and bring it to a boil. Then add the tofu cubes.
  6. Slowly bring it to a simmer, gently stirring to avoid breaking the tofu.
  7. Season with salt and chicken stock powder, cook for about 5 minutes to allow the tofu to absorb the flavors.
  8. Turn off the heat, garnish with scallions, and it's ready to serve.
